Mets are playing great baseball right now, taking advantage of other team's mistakes and minimizing their own. In the past, if the starter couldn't get out of the 4th inning, the Mets had no chance of winning. But Takahashi came in and provided outstanding relief, and the offense came through. D Wright was 3-3 in the 2nd game, with 4 RBIs, and also got his 1,000 hit in his Mets career (8th player in Mets history to do it).
Mets have won 6 in a row, and 8 of the last 9. If the Phillies lose tonight, the Mets will wake up in the morning in 1ST PLACE.
What a difference a week makes huh?
