Game 13- Mets win 6-1

Ike Davis' debut went smoothly, as he got his 1st major league hit in his first at bat (broken bat over the 2nd baseman's head), and later got his first RBI (vs a lefty, but the whole at bat didn't look pretty).

Other highlights:

• Angel Pagan gave the Mets a 3-1 lead with a 2-run HR in the 7th
• This opened up the flood gates, as the Mets scored 5 in the 7th
• J Niese scattered eight hits, but he did get hit pretty hard, and needed 112 pitches to go 5+ innings
• J Mejia pitched the 8th and 9th innings to close out the game.
• He hit M Byrd in the head in the top of the 9th, but thankfully he is ok.
• Jeff Francoeur went 0-4, and is 0 for his last 14.
• J Bay went 2-3 including a double in the 7th inning, so hopefully he's breaking out of his slump.

Mets play tomorrow night, Mike Pelfrey vs Carlos Zambrano, 7:10 start. Let's start a winning streak.
