Mets get shutout as I predicted, for the 4th time in 11 games. Mets lose 1-0. At least it only took 2 hours and 23 minutes.
Much needed day off tomorrow.

As a quick introduction, my name is Anthony, and I have been urged to start a blog focusing on the New York Mets (Metropolitans), and try to find a way to bring home the Mets 3rd World Series Championship in the near future.
I can't wait to hear Dickey's comments about why he was taken out. I love the fact he was begging to stay in the game. Then again, only in Met land, can somebody slip and fall, get 2 more outs, then be too injured to pitch. Dickey (if you could read lips) was unhappy to say the least. I am sure Jerry is going to say he was protecting his player, but I agree with Ron Darling--he appeared to be ok, he wanted to stay in and battle, and for a team that needs something, this could have been it.
ReplyDeleteBut 2-9 is pretty bad to say the least and the Cardinals come to town and they don't stink.
Oh, and am I the only one who thought that Beltran had a chance to cut that ball off in the 8th? I am not sure where he was playing, but if you watch, he let up and let it go off the wall. To me, the issue wasn't him missing it off the wall, it was letting it too the wall to begin with. But big deal. Mets have bigger issues than that right now.
ReplyDeleteThe Mets are one game over .500. That is a bigger issue than Beltran playing poor center field.
