Game 51: Mets @ Brewers

Mets try to avoid being swept and falling below .500 vs LHP Randy Wolf. Here is the stellar line-up that he will face:

J Reyes SS
L Castillo 2B
J Bay LF
F Tatis 1B (WHY THE HECK IS HE HITTING CLEAN-UP?)
D Wright 3B
A Pagan CF
J Francoeur RF
H Blanco C
RA Dickey P

My Prediction: Mets lose 5-1 and Jerry is back on the "Budweiser hot seat."

  1. There is this belief that where you hit matters. That is why Tatis is hitting 4th. If he wasn't, Jerry would say that it would disrupt too many guys. As if you told David Wright that he is hitting 4th today and not 5th and he would say "4th? I can't hit 4th, I hit 5th". I personally don't get it. Foolish me thought you wanted your better hitters up more. Tatis takes at bats away from Pagan and Wright in this lineup. I know I am in the minority with my thoughts on who cares where you hit, just hit, but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

I think the Mets will find a way to win today. I know the lineup is lighter without Davis and I know a Dickey is pitching, but I figure if they can't win a Santana game when he is lights out, then they will win a game they have no business winning.
