Today, for the 1st time in a long time, I proudly wore Mets attire. I wore Mets attire proudly because for the first time in over three months, I am happy that the New York Mets have direction, have leadership, and have something to have faith in.
I got at least 3 high fives or "Let's Go Mets" greetings at the boardwalk and the outlets today; rejoice Met fans, today may very well be the turning point in our franchise's history.
Sandy Alderson, welcome aboard, and thank you for giving us hope and excitement on October 29th, 2010.

now if he can get rid of Castillo and Perez, he really will be a legend! But he did say that this year will be hard because of so much money being tied up in current contracts. It will take time, but he seems to have a plan. Let's just hope the plan works. I really look forward to two years from now when some of those big contracts expire and come off the books.
ReplyDeleteone more thing about Alderson--he mentioned how he likes home grown players. Does that now mean that Mets won't have the least amount of money invested in scouting and the minor leagues? I think Alderson knows better than that and will make the necessary adjustments to support his "home grown" idealogy.
