Game 16: Mets @ Braves

The Mets face the tough young righty, Tommy Hanson today, 1:35 start. He will be opposed by Dillon Gee. Here is the "shaken-up" line-up by Terry Collins

For Gee's scouting report in spring training, click here. Gee was added to the 25-man roster when Pat Misch was sent down after throwing 2 innings yesterday in relief. Wouldn't it have been a better choice to start him versus Carrasco? Just 'sayin.

My prediction: Mets losing streak continues and they return home losers of 8 straight, and a 4-12 record. Score: 6-1.

Let's Go Mets!

  1. I'm glad you were wrong, just. Gee should have made the 25 man roster in spring, and I'm glad he showed up for this. Wright needs to get back into his groove from the start of the season. I know its only April, but I'm having deja vu with 2010 again. Hopefully the Amazin's can get on track against the Astros.

  2. Bradly,

I'm glad I was wrong as well. I don't feel any better at the end of the day when I pick the Mets to lose and they do. It's not a "well, at least I looked good."

D Wright is fine. He is the least of the Mets concerns, yet is still one of the 'whipping boys' for most Mets fans.

  3. I agree--leave your all-star 3rd baseman alone. He is fine. And it's April. I like that they won after being swept the day before. It shows heart and they are trying. We knew this would happen or could happen. The Mets are working on getting rid of bad contracts and building toward the future. I don't like the losing, but if it means a few years from now the farm system is stocked and it will eventually lead to a better product, then I can tolerate it (much like I tolerate QU Bobcat baseball, who by the way, is now 2-13 in their last 15 games...ugh)
